RAIN WILL SPREAD FROM SOUTH TO NORTH LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND  
EVENING, POSSIBLY STARTING AS SNOW FOR NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE  
REGION. UP TO AN INCH OF SNOW MAY ACCUMULATE CLOSE TO THE  
INTERSTATE 64 CORRIDOR BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION TRANSITIONS TO  
RAIN LATE THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. RAIN WILL CONTINUE INTO  
WEDNESDAY WITH WIDESPREAD TOTALS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES, WITH THE  
HIGHER AMOUNTS LIKELY FOCUS OVER WESTERN KENTUCKY. DRY WEATHER  
TEMPORARILY MOVES IN WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY. HOWEVER, MORE  
RAIN LOOKS TO SPREAD INTO THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE REGION THURSDAY  
NIGHT, WITH THE ENTIRE REGION HAVING A GOOD CHANCE FOR RAIN  
FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. THIS INCLUDES A CHANCE FOR SEVERE  
THUNDERSTORMS ON SATURDAY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3  
INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE THIS WEEK, WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS  
FORECAST OVER WESTERN KENTUCKY AGAIN. TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN  
NEAR TO ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH MOST OF THE PERIOD WITH HIGHS  
GENERALLY IN THE UPPER 40S TO 50S INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE  
WARMEST DAY WILL BE SATURDAY WITH HIGHS INTO THE 60S.
