LOUISIANA...SOUTH MISSISSIPPI AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.  
   
DAY ONE
 
TODAY AND TONIGHT  
 
MODEL GUIDANCE SUGGESTS THE POTENTIAL FOR TROPICAL BANDS IN  
ASSOCIATION WITH TROPICAL DEPRESSION IMELDA TO REACH JUST EAST  
ENOUGH ACROSS FAR WESTERN AREAS OF THE ATCHAFALAYA BASIN, OR  
GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF A LIBERTY,MS - BATON ROUGE,LA LINE.  
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS SUGGEST THE POTENTIAL FOR GUSTY,  
DOWNDRAFT WINDS IN ASSOCIATED WITH THESE STORMS, AS WELL HAS  
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. THESE STORMS WILL STRUGGLE TO REACH  
FARTHER EAST, WITH MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS ELSEWHERE.  
   
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
 
THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY  
 
AFTERNOON SPOTTY STORM COVERAGE INCREASES ON THURSDAY THANKS TO AN  
APPROACHING WESTWARD MOVING FRONT ACROSS THE AREA. A FEW STORMS  
MAY BE STRONG, GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST OF I-55 IN SE LA AND  
SOUTHERN MS WITH GUSTY WINDS THE MAIN THREAT. HOWEVER, WIDESPREAD  
SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.  
 
OTHERWISE, NO ADDITIONAL HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED.
