DISCUSSION

ONCE AGAIN, THERE WILL BE A THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS LATE IN
THE DAY ACROSS THE AREA, ESPECIALLY EAST OF INTERSTATE 55.
THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE VERY LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL OVER
SMALL AREAS. OUTFLOW FROM THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE
SIGNIFICANT WIND SHIFTS FOR SEVERAL HOURS.

A DRIER PATTERN IS EXPECTED TO BUILD INTO THE AREA FOR
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

REMARKS

1. THE DIFFERENCES CAN BE ATTRIBUTTED TO THE NORMAL FORECAST UNCERTAINTY
AND SPATIAL ERRORS. BUT LOOKING AT IT THIS MORNING FOR TUESDAY, TRANSPORT
WINDS AT THE SITE LOCATION SPECIFICALLY ARE FORECAST TO BE 2 M/S IN THE MORNING
FROM DAYBREAK UNTIL NOON. THEN AFTER NOON THE TRANSPORT WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE
4 M/S, SUBSIDING TO 3 M/S IN THE LATE AFTERNOON (AFTER 3PM) AND HOLDING 3 M/S
THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS, BASED ON WHAT WE ARE SEEING IN THE MODELS.
2. AFTER TONIGHT, THE NEXT BEST CHANCE FOR MEASURABLE PRECIPIATION
WILL BE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WITH 1 INCH OR LESS EXPECTED EACH DAY (1-2
INCHES TOTAL FOR THE WEEKEND).
