...GUSTY WINDS DEVELOPING TODAY WILL LEAD TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING  
SNOW...  
 
GUSTY SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO FURTHER INCREASE  
LATE THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON, WITH GUSTS UPWARDS OF 40 TO 45  
MPH ACROSS THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA. THESE STRONGER WINDS MAY CAUSE  
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW ACROSS ROADS WITH HIGHER SNOW DRIFTS,  
ESPECIALLY FOR ROADS ORIENTED PERPENDICULAR TO SOUTHWEST TO WEST  
WINDS OR MORE OPEN, EXPOSED AREAS OF ROADS.  
 
THESE STRONGER WINDS AND RESULTING HIGHER WAVES WILL ALSO OCCUR  
ALONG THE LAKE SUPERIOR SHORELINE THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND INTO THIS  
EVENING. MINOR BEACH EROSION AND LOCALIZED LAKESHORE FLOODING MAY  
BE POSSIBLE DURING HIGH WAVES TODAY INTO TONIGHT FOR ICE-FREE  
AREAS ALONG THE WESTERN AND NORTHERN SHORELINE OF THE KEWEENAW  
PENINSULA. ICE-FREE AREAS MAY ALSO SEE LOOSE ICE PUSH ONSHORE.
