THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST  
MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.  
   
DAY ONE
 
TODAY AND TONIGHT  
 
HEAVY RAINFALL AND STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED TODAY AND TONIGHT AS A  
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. RAINFALL OF  
BETWEEN 1 TO 3" WILL BE POSSIBLE, WITH THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS EXPECTED  
OVER NORTHWEST WISCONSIN. THE MOST INTENSE RAINFALL WILL FALL IN THE  
AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. THIS HEAVY RAINFALL MAY PRODUCE MINOR  
FLOODING, ESPECIALLY IN LOW-LYING OR URBAN AREAS. IN ADDITION TO THE  
HEAVY RAINFALL, THERE IS A CHANCE FOR STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS  
MAINLY OVER NORTHWEST WISCONSIN AND ADJACENT AREAS OF NORTHEAST  
MINNESOTA. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND SOME  
LARGE HAIL. THERE IS A LOW RISK OF A TORNADO.  
 
STRONG NORTHEAST WINDS OFF OF LAKE SUPERIOR WILL IMPACT AREAS ALONG  
THE LAKE SHORE, WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 30 TO 40 MPH IMPACTING THE  
TWIN PORTS AND OTHER AREAS ALONG THE LAKE SHORE THIS AFTERNOON AND  
EVENING.

FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY  
 
ON FRIDAY NIGHT, FROST IS POSSIBLE AS A COOLER THAN NORMAL AIRMASS  
SETTLES INTO THE AREA WITH CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS.  
 
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES RETURN TO THE FORECAST FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON AND  
EVENING AS ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE AREA.

DAY ONE
 
TODAY AND TONIGHT  
 
A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE NEARSHORE WATERS  
OF WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR TODAY, AS A RESULT OF STRONG NORTHEAST  
WINDS. THESE WINDS WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE DAY AND THIS EVENING,  
WITH GALE FORCE WINDS EXPECTED BY LATE AFTERNOON OR EARLY  
EVENING. THE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WILL TRANSITION TO A GALE  
WARNING FOR ALL OF WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR AT 4 PM THURSDAY, WITH  
GALE FORCE WINDS CONTINUING INTO THE NIGHT.  
   
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
 
FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY  
 
WINDS WILL TURN FROM THE NORTHWEST EARLY FRIDAY MORNING AND  
REMAIN STRONG DURING THE MORNING BEFORE DECREASING FRIDAY  
AFTERNOON. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR FRIDAY. SEE

STATEMENT IS IN EFFECT.
