JANUARY WAS MUCH WARMER THAN NORMAL WITH LITTLE PRECIPITATION. THE  
WARMEST DAY OF THE MONTH WAS THE 13TH WITH A HIGH OF 57. THE  
COLDEST DAY WAS THE 26TH, WITH A LOW OF -1. IN FACT, 27 DAYS HAD  
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH ONLY 4 RECORDING BELOW NORMAL  
TEMPERATURES AND ONLY ONE DAY...THE 26TH...DIPPING BELOW ZERO. THE  
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 27.3 DEGREES, MAKING IT THE  
SECOND WARMEST JANUARY ON RECORD, BEHIND 2006.  
 
JANUARY WAS ALSO VERY DRY, WITH 0.07 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION AND 0.2  
INCHES OF SNOW. THIS IS THE 9TH DRIEST AND 7TH LEAST SNOWIEST  
JANUARY ON RECORD IN GLASGOW. ONLY TWO DAYS...THE 3RD AND THE  
18TH...HAD MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION, WITH THE 18TH RECORDING THE  
ONLY MEASURABLE SNOWFALL.  
 
THE HIGHEST WIND GUST WAS ON THE 13TH WITH A GUST TO 79 MPH. ONE  
OTHER DAY...THE 14TH...HAD GUSTS OVER 50 MPH.  
 
LOOKING AHEAD TO FEBRUARY, NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES START IN THE  
MIDDLE 20S AND RISE TO MIDDLE 30S BY THE END OF THE MONTH. LOW  
TEMPERATURES START IN THE MIDDLE SINGLE DIGITS AND RISE TO THE  
MIDDLE TEENS BY THE END OF THE MONTH. THE NORMAL MONTHLY  
PRECIPITATION FOR FEBRURARY IS A QUARTER OF AN INCH.
