THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS THIS MORNING AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING  
COLD FRONT TO OUR WEST. THE FRONT, AND ASSOCIATED BAND OF SHOWERS  
AND STORMS WILL CROSS THE MOUNTAINS AROUND MIDDAY. THE WINDS WILL  
BECOME WEAKER BEHIND THE FRONT THIS AFTERNOON.
