INTERSTATE 40 BETWEEN GALLUP AND THOREAU THROUGH 5 PM...  
 
A PERIOD OF MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW WITH SOUTHWEST WIND  
GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH, BLOWING SNOW, AND LOW VISIBILITY WILL IMPACT  
INTERSTATE 40 BETWEEN GALLUP AND THOREAU THROUGH 5 PM. A QUICK  
ONE TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE AS A BAND OF SNOWFALL  
MOVES THROUGH THE AREA. TRAVEL WILL BECOME SLICK WITH SNOWPACKED  
AND ICY SURFACES, ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES, OVERPASSES, AND UNTREATED  
ROADWAYS. SLOW DOWN, GIVE YOURSELF MORE SPACE BETWEEN VEHICLES,  
AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION TODAY. WEATHER  
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO SLOWLY IMPROVE LATER TODAY. ANOTHER
