AT 6:17 P.M. ADT, ENVIRONMENT CANADA METEOROLOGISTS ARE TRACKING A  
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN.  
 
MAXIMUM RAINFALL RATES: 25 TO 35 MM PER HOUR, POSSIBLY HIGHER.  
 
LOCATIONS: SOUTHEASTERN PICTOU COUNTY.  
 
TIME SPAN: CONTINUING UNTIL LATER THIS EVENING.  
 
REMARKS: RADAR INDICATES INTENSE DOWNPOURS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A  
NEAR STATIONARY CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS 20 KM SOUTH OF NEW GLASGOW.  
 
HEAVY DOWNPOURS CAN CAUSE FLASH FLOODS AND WATER POOLING ON ROADS.  
LIGHTNING KILLS AND INJURES CANADIANS EVERY YEAR. REMEMBER, WHEN  
THUNDER ROARS, GO INDOORS(EXCLAMATION MARK)  
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN IMMINENT OR OCCURRING  
THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY TO PRODUCE OR ARE PRODUCING ONE OR MORE OF  
THE FOLLOWING: LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS, TORRENTIAL RAINFALL.
