THIS IS THE LAST INFORMATION STATEMENT ISSUED FOR TROPICAL STORM  
ERNESTO.  
 
TROPICAL STORM ERNESTO WILL CONTINUE TO WEAKEN WHILE MOVING RAPIDLY  
AWAY FROM CANADIAN WATERS TODAY.  
 
1. SUMMARY OF BASIC INFORMATION AT 9:30 A.M. NDT.  
 
LOCATION: NEAR 47.9 NORTH 46.8 WEST.  
 
ABOUT 500 KILOMETRES EAST-NORTHEAST OF CAPE RACE.  
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 110 KM/H.  
 
PRESENT MOVEMENT: EAST-NORTHEAST AT 60 KM/H.  
 
MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE: 978 MILLIBARS.  
 
2. PUBLIC WEATHER IMPACTS AND WARNINGS SUMMARY.  
 
ALL RAINFALL WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ENDED.  
 
A. WIND.  
 
CAPE RACE REPORTED A PEAK WIND GUST TO 67 KM/H. ST. JOHNS AIRPORT  
REPORTED A WIND GUST TO 52 KM/H. AS EXPECTED, WIND OVER LAND AREAS  
WAS NOT SIGNIFICANT.  
 
B. RAINFALL.  
 
A HEAVY BAND OF RAINFALL MOVED INTO SOUTHEASTERN NEWFOUNDLAND LATE  
LAST EVENING AND LASTED ABOUT 3 TO 4 HOURS. A PRIVATE STATION IN  
CAPE PINE REPORTED 20.1 MM IN AN HOUR. ST. JOHNS WEST REPORTED 52.3  
MM. ST. JOHN'S AIRPORT 31.8 MM AND CAPE RACE 36 MM.  
 
C. SURGE/WAVES.  
 
LARGE WAVES IMPACTING THE SOUTHERN COASTLINE OF NEWFOUNDLAND ARE  
BEGINNING TO SUBSIDE AS TROPICAL STORM ERNESTO MOVES RAPIDLY OFF TO  
THE EAST.  
 
3. MARINE WEATHER IMPACTS AND WARNINGS SUMMARY.  
 
ALL MARINE WARNINGS FOR THE MARITIMES HAVE BEEN ENDED. WINDS AND SEA  
CONDITIONS WILL SUBSIDE OVER THE GRAND BANKS TODAY.
