==DISCUSSION==  
 
SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED OVER HIGHER TERRAIN.  
 
LOCATIONS: THE TRANS-LABRADOR HIGHWAY FROM CARTWRIGHT JUNCTION TO  
UPPER LAKE MELVILLE.  
 
TOTAL SNOWFALL: 5 TO 10 CM, EXCEPT NEAR 15 CM OVER HIGHER TERRAIN.  
 
TIME SPAN: TODAY.  
 
REMARKS: PRECIPITATION WILL FALL MAINLY AS SNOW FOR MOST OF THE DAY,  
HOWEVER SNOW WILL CHANGE OVER TO RAIN IN THE CARTWRIGHT JUNCTION  
AREA IN THE AFTERNOON AND REMAIN AS RAIN UNTIL PRECIPITATION TAPERS  
OFF TO FLURRIES NEAR MIDNIGHT.  
 
TRAVEL WILL LIKELY BE CHALLENGING. ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR TRAVEL.  
SNOWFALL WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED  
DUE TO SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS.
