==DISCUSSION==

HEAVY SNOWFALL EXPECTED LATE TODAY INTO TONIGHT.

HAZARDS:
TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS NEAR 15 CM.
PEAK SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 TO 4 CM PER HOUR.
REDUCED VISIBILITY IN AREAS OF HEAVY SNOW AND LOCAL BLOWING SNOW.

TIMING:
BEGINNING LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND ENDING LATE TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION:
SNOW AND RAIN ARE AFFECTING PORTIONS OF FAR NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO AS
OF MID AFTERNOON. ANY RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW THIS EVENING AS
TEMPERATURES DROP, AND THE SNOW MAY FALL HEAVILY AT TIMES. IN
ADDITION, INCREASING NORTHEASTERLY WINDS GUSTING UP TO 60 KM/H WILL
RESULT IN AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW.

CONDITIONS SHOULD IMPROVE FROM WEST TO EAST TONIGHT.

BE PREPARED TO ADJUST YOUR DRIVING WITH CHANGING ROAD CONDITIONS.
RAPIDLY ACCUMULATING SNOW COULD MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT OVER SOME
LOCATIONS. VISIBILITY MAY BE SUDDENLY REDUCED AT TIMES IN HEAVY
SNOW.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO MONITOR ALERTS AND FORECASTS ISSUED BY
ENVIRONMENT CANADA. TO REPORT SEVERE WEATHER, SEND AN EMAIL TO
