SNOWFALL WITH TOTAL AMOUNTS OF ABOUT 10 CM IS EXPECTED.

WHEN: NOW TO MIDDAY.  
 
WHAT: TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF AROUND 10 CM, LOCALLY UP TO 15 CM  
POSSIBLE.  
 
REMARKS:  
A MOISTURE-LADEN PACIFIC FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING SNOW TO PARTS OF  
THE SOUTHERN BC INTERIOR. PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE AND EASE  
AROUND MIDDAY TODAY AS THE SYSTEM DEPARTS.  
 
SNOW LEVEL IS EXPECTED TO RISE THROUGH THIS MORNING, THEREFORE SOME  
OF THE HIGHER ELEVATION COMMUNITIES AND HIGHWAYS WILL GET LOCALLY  
HIGHER SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS.  
 
RAPIDLY ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT. SURFACES SUCH  
AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS MAY BECOME DIFFICULT  
TO NAVIGATE DUE TO ACCUMULATING SNOW. IF VISIBILITY IS REDUCED WHILE  
DRIVING, TURN ON YOUR LIGHTS AND MAINTAIN A SAFE FOLLOWING DISTANCE.  
TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS AND AVOID STRAIN WHEN CLEARING SNOW. PUBLIC  
SAFETY CANADA ENCOURAGES EVERYONE TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY PLAN AND GET  
AN EMERGENCY KIT WITH DRINKING WATER, FOOD, MEDICINE, A FIRST-AID  
KIT AND A FLASHLIGHT.  
 
SNOWFALL WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED.
