WHERE: ELK VALLEY - NEAR FERNIE.  
 
WHEN: NOW TO THIS AFTERNOON  
 
WHAT: TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 20 TO 30 CM.  
 
HAZARDS:  
- SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL MAKE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS  
DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE.  
- NEAR-ZERO VISIBILITY IN HEAVY SNOWFALL.  
- POTENTIAL FOR TRANSPORTATION DELAYS.  
 
REMARKS:  
A MOISTURE-LADEN PACIFIC FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING HEAVY SNOW TO  
PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN BC INTERIOR. SNOW OVER FERNIE WILL CONTINUE  
THROUGH THIS MORNING, AND EASING AS THE SYSTEM DEPARTS IN THE  
AFTERNOON.  
 
TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN WALKING OR DRIVING IN AFFECTED AREAS. IF  
VISIBILITY IS REDUCED WHILE DRIVING, SLOW DOWN, WATCH FOR TAIL  
LIGHTS AHEAD AND BE PREPARED TO STOP.
