HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED TODAY WITH TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 10 TO 20 CM.  
 
WHERE: ELK VALLEY, WITH HIGHEST AMOUNTS EXPECTED NEAR FERNIE.  
 
WHAT: A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DEVELOPS IN SOUTHEAST BC BRINGING SNOW  
TO THIS AREA.  
 
WHEN: SNOW WILL BEGIN THIS MORNING AND INTENSIFY THROUGHOUT THE DAY.  
SNOW WILL END EARLY THIS EVENING.  
 
ROADS AND WALKWAYS WILL LIKELY BE DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE DUE TO  
ACCUMULATING SNOW. ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR TRAVEL. IF DRIVING, TURN ON  
YOUR LIGHTS, SLOW DOWN AND MAINTAIN A SAFE FOLLOWING DISTANCE.
