KEY MESSAGES

ISSUED AT 134 PM CST FRI NOV 28 2025

- BREEZY AND GUSTY NORTH WINDS EXPECTED BEHIND A COLD FRONT FOR
SATURDAY. THIS FRONT IS EXPECTED TO BRING IN A COLD AIRMASS THAT
IS EXPECTED TO STICK AROUND FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS.

- WELL BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES EXPECTED SUNDAY MORNING INTO
TUESDAY MORNING.

- LOW CHANCE FOR SNOW/WINTRY MIX SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY NIGHT.

SHORT TERM

(THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT)
ISSUED AT 134 PM CST FRI NOV 28 2025

LOW CLOUDS AND SOME MIST STILL HANGING AROUND THE SOUTHERN
PANHANDLES. SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL START TO TURN MORE WESTERLY AS
THE SURFACE LOW TRACKS EAST ACROSS THE OK PANHANDLE THIS EVENING.
TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE WESTERN PANHANDLES SHOULD PICK UP IN THE
COMING HOURS AND HAVE A DELAYED WARM UP, AS HIGHS ARE STILL
PROJECTED TO BE IN THE UPPER 50S TO LOW 60S, BUT WE'RE STILL
AWAITING THIS LOW CLOUD CLEARING. AREAS TO THE EAST WILL PROBABLY
STILL BE LOWER TO MID 50S AS CLOUD COVER WILL BE THE MAIN ISSUE
FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY. LATER TONIGHT WINDS START TO TURN
WESTERLY THEN NORTHWESTERLY IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS AS A GOOD
PUSH OF COLD AIR WILL USHER IN ALL DAY SATURDAY. WIND CHILLS TO
START OFF THE MORNING WILL BE IN THE 20S ACROSS THE NORTHWEST
PANHANDLES AND IN THE 30S ACROSS THE SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST. WHILE
HIGHS TOMORROW WILL BE IN THE LOW 40S ACROSS THE NORTH AND LOW TO
MID 50S ACROSS THE SOUTH, THAT IS NOT THE REALITY OF WHAT IT WILL
FEEL LIKE. WITH NORTH WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH GUSTING UP TO 45 MPH,
WITH A 10% CHANCE OF 50 TO 55 MPH WIND GUSTS IN THE EASTERN
PANHANDLES. GIVEN THESE WINDS SPEEDS AND COOLER AIR ADVECTING INTO
THE AREA, THE WIND CHILLS WILL NOT GET OUT OF THE 20S FOR THE
NORTHERN PANHANDLES, AND AS FAR AS THE SOUTH GOES BY MID TO LATE
AFTERNOON MOST AREAS WILL FEEL BELOW FREEZING. BY MIDNIGHT
TOMORROW NIGHT WIND CHILLS WILL BE ALMOST DOWN TO SINGLE DIGITS IN
THE NORTH AND THE TEENS TO LOW 20S IN THE SOUTH. NO PRECIPITATION
EXPECTED AT THIS TIME FOR THE SHORT TERM.

WEBER

LONG TERM

(SUNDAY THROUGH NEXT THURSDAY)
ISSUED AT 134 PM CST FRI NOV 28 2025

SUNDAY COLD AIR WILL REMAIN ANCHORED IN PLACE BUT WINDS WILL
WEAKEN. OVERALL, HIGHS WILL BE IN THE 30S TO SOME ISOLATED LOWER
40S AS WE TRANSITION BACK TO MORE WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT. OVERNIGHT
LOWS TOMORROW NIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE TEENS ACROSS MOST AREAS,
AND WITH WINDS PICKING UP CLOSER TO 10 MPH THAT WILL BRING THE
MONDAY MORNING WIND CHILLS DOWN IN THE SINGLE DIGITS.

FOR MONDAY A POSITIVE TILTED TROUGH WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
PANHANDLES, AND MOISTURE CONTINUES TO PULL FURTHER NORTH, AND
SEEMS MORE LIMITED THAN WITH PREVIOUS MODEL RUNS. SO SNOW
POTENTIAL IS CERTAINLY BEING ISOLATED FURTHER NORTH TO THE OK
PANHANDLE, AND POTENTIAL SNOW AMOUNTS ARE DROPPING DOWN WITH ABOUT
A 30 PERCENT CHANCE OF A HALF AN INCH IN THE OK PANHANDLE AND A
10-30 PERCENT CHANCE OF A DUSTING FROM I-40 TO THE OK PANHANDLE.

A BRIEF REBOUND IN TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY AS WE MOVE BACK TO THAT
NORTHWEST FLOW FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER COLD FRONT ON WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY. JUST HOW COLD WITH THE FRONT BE, IS STILL IN QUESTION.
WE'LL KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOR ANY POP POTENTIAL,
BUT THERE'S STILL UNCERTAINTY THAT IF WE GET POPS THAT IT WOULD BE
WINTER PRECIPITATION.

AVIATION

(18Z TAFS)
ISSUED AT 1143 AM CST FRI NOV 28 2025

IFR/LIFR CONDITIONS TO START THE TAF PERIOD AT KAMA AND KDHT BUT
CIGS SHOULD GRADUALLY START TO IMPROVE IN THE COMING HOURS. WINDS
WILL BE OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST IN THE 15-25KT RANGE AND MAY GUST AS
HIGH AS 35KTS. THIS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH ABOUT 00Z, WHEN WINDS
WILL GRADUALLY COME DOWN AROUND 15KTS AND START TURNING MORE
WESTERLY TO NORTHWESTERLY AS WE MOVE IN THE 09-12Z TIME PERIOD.
AT LEAST THAT WILL BE FORE KDHT AND KGUY WITH THE COLD FRONT
COMING SOONER. KAMA WILL COME MORE OUT OF THE NORTH AROUND 16Z.
SOME LLWS AT KDHT AND KGUY MAINLY IN THE 10-17Z TIME PERIOD, AND
THAT WOULD BE FOR WINDS OUT OF THE NORTHWEST AROUND 45KTS AT ABOUT
