A WEAK PACIFIC WARM
FRONT PASSED THROUGH OUR CWA TUESDAY EVENING WITH LIGHT RAIN
AND SNOW IN CENTRAL AND NORTHERN AREAS. A PACIFIC COLD FRONT

FLOW ALOFT UNDER THE ASSOCIATED UPPER TROUGH WILL KEEP FOG OUT
OF THE VALLEYS TODAY EXCEPT NEAR WEISER/ID AND ONTARIO/OR.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE MILD AGAIN TODAY. AFTER THE UPPER TROUGH
EXITS EAST THIS EVENING AN UPPER RIDGE WILL COME IN FROM THE

FRIDAY ESPECIALLY IN THE LOWER TREASURE VALLEY. DAYTIME
TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLDER BELOW ABOUT 3500 FEET MSL. NO

THE VALLEY COLD POOLS THAT WILL HAVE BEEN IN PLACE AND IMPROVE
THE STAGNANT VALLEY CONDITIONS. THE MORE STUBBORN COLD POOLS
SHOULD FOLLOW SUIT BY LATE WEEKEND/EARLY NEXT WEEK. SNOW LEVELS
WILL OSCILLATE WITH THE ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF EACH TROUGH,
WITH SNOW LEVELS ROUGHLY 3000-5000 FT MSL FOR THE NORTHERN ZONES
AND 5000-7000 FT MSL FOR THE SOUTHERN ZONES CLOSER TO THE NV
BORDER. EACH NEW TROUGH IS FORECAST TO BE COLDER THAN THE LAST
AS THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE BECOMES DISPLACED. WINDS WILL ALSO
INCREASE WITH EACH TROUGH, ESPECIALLY MID TO LATE NEXT WEEK.
SNOW TOTALS MAY BECOME SIGNIFICANT FOR HIGH ELEVATIONS FROM
THIS MULTI-DAY EVENT.
