COLDER TEMPERATURES WILL TAKE HOLD ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH TODAY,  
IN THE WAKE OF LAST NIGHT'S COLD FRONT. HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS  
AFTERNOON WILL RANGE FROM THE 30S OVER MOUNTAINOUS AREAS, TO  
MAINLY THE 40S ELSEWHERE.  
 
A STORM SYSTEM WILL GATHER STRENGTH OFF THE NEW JERSEY COAST  
TODAY, THEN TRACK INLAND OVER EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA LATER TONIGHT  
AND FRIDAY. THIS WILL BE AN IMPACTFUL SYSTEM FOR THE COMMONWEALTH,  
BRINGING LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW TO THE MOUNTAINS ACROSS NORTHERN AND  
WESTERN SECTIONS OF THE STATE, PARTICULARLY TONIGHT AND FRIDAY  
MORNING. EVEN IN VALLEY AREAS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PENNSYLVANIA,  
A PERIOD OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE FRIDAY MORNING.  
 
PRECIPITATION WILL TAPER OFF THIS WEEKEND, AS THE PREVIOUSLY  
MENTIONED STORM MOVES AWAY FROM THE AREA. HOWEVER, TEMPERATURES  
WILL REMAIN CHILLY, WITH HIGHS REMAINING MOSTLY IN THE 30S AND  
40S.
