THE APPROACH OF A WEAK COLD FRONT FROM THE WEST WILL BRING  
FLURRIES AND SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS  
OF PENNSYLVANIA THIS EVENING, GENERALLY TAPERING OFF BY MIDNIGHT.  
THE EXTREME COLD CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH  
MINIMUM WIND CHILLS BETWEEN 5 AND 25 DEGREES BELOW ZERO AT TIMES  
ESPECIALLY TONIGHT. AIR TEMPERATURES BY WEDNESDAY MORNING WILL  
RANGE FROM THE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE 0 IN THE SOUTHEAST TO 10 TO 20  
DEGREES BELOW 0 IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA.  
 
THE CURRENT ARCTIC OUTBREAK WILL MODERATE LATE IN THE WEEK WITH  
TEMPERATURES RISING, BUT STILL REMAINING SEVERAL DEGREES BELOW THE  
HISTORICAL AVERAGE FOR LATE JANUARY. TEMPERATURES WILL RISE TO  
NEAR NORMAL THIS WEEKEND.
