WEAK HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO DRIFT EAST OF PENNSYLVANIA
OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. MID LEVEL CLOUDS WILL BEGIN TO ENTER FROM THE
WEST AHEAD OF A MOISTURE STARVED COLD FRONT. VARIABLE AMOUNTS OF
MID LEVEL CLOUDS AND A LIGHT SOUTHERLY BREEZE WILL LEAD TO
HIGHER, BUT STILL COLD TEMPERATURES MAINLY IN THE SINGLE DIGITS
FOR LOWS EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. ISOLATED SNOW SHOWERS/FLURRIES
WITH LITTLE ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING ACROSS THE NORTHWEST AS WELL AS IN THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS AS
THE WEAK COLD FRONT PUSHES NORTH OF THE STATE.

A MODERATION IN TEMPERATURES WILL OCCUR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WITH
TEMPERATURES REBOUNDING 10 TO 15 DEGREES HIGHER FROM TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY HIGHS. THESE READINGS WILL STILL BE SEVERAL DEGREES
BELOW THE HISTORICAL AVERAGES AROUND THE STATE FOR LATE JANUARY.
HOWEVER, A FRESHENING SOUTHWESTERLY BREEZE, GUSTING INTO THE TEENS
AND LOW 20S OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF THE STATE, WILL KEEP WIND
CHILLS MAINLY IN THE SINGLE DIGITS TO TEENS. TEMPERATURES WILL
RISE TO NEAR NORMAL THIS WEEKEND.
