WEDNESDAY.

- MONSOONAL MOISTURE WILL DRIFT INTO NE MONTANA BY THURSDAY
EVENING WITH CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS INTO THE
WEEKEND.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

NORTHEAST MONTANA REMAINS IN THE NORTHWEST FLOW WITH AN UPPER
RIDGE TO OUR WEST AND A TROUGH TO OUR EAST. THE UPPER RIDGE WILL
DRIFT EAST THIS WEEK WITH TEMPERATURES WARMING THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THE UPPER RIDGE ALSO CONTAINS LOTS OF MONSOONAL MOISTURE. THE
MOISTURE WILL DRIFT INTO SW MONTANA TODAY. AN UPPER LOW MOVING
INLAND OFF THE PACIFIC NW COAST WILL NUDGE THIS MOISTURE FURTHER
NORTH AND EAST ACROSS MONTANA ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AS THE
UPPER RIDGE MOVES THROUGH EASTERN MONTANA. NE MONTANA WILL SEE
INCREASING MID AND HIGH CLOUDS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY AS IT
WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO MOISTEN THE VERY DRY AIR CURRENTLY IN PLACE
OVER NE MONTANA. BY THURSDAY EVENING, THERE SHOULD BE ENOUGH
MOISTURE FOR CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. CHANCES FOR
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ON FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT
MAINLY SOUTH OF THE MISSOURI RIVER. HIGH PRECIPITABLE WATER
BETWEEN 1.0 AND 1.3 INCHES IN MOST AREAS COULD LEAD TO LOCALLY
HEAVY RAIN.

THE MOISTURE MOVES TO THE SOUTH AND EAST ON SATURDAY WHICH WILL
DIMINISH THE CHANCES FOR PRECIPITATION. MAINLY DRY WEATHER IS
EXPECTED EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH WARMER TEMPERATURES.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:
