HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
321 PM CDT SUN SEP 29 2019

..PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

A FRONTAL BOUNDARY IS EXPECTED TO BECOME NEARLY STATIONARY TUESDAY
INTO TUESDAY NIGHT BEFORE SLOWLY SINKING SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE DAY
WEDNESDAY. THE FRONT WILL HAVE PLENTY OF MOISTURE TO WORK WITH, IN
FACT, THE AMOUNT OF WATER AVAILABLE TO THE SYSTEM WILL BE ROUGHLY
300 PERCENT OF NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.

RECENT RAINFALL OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS AND ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
EXPECTED THROUGH MONDAY, WILL LEAVE SOILS SATURATED AHEAD OF THE
UPCOMING HEAVY RAINFALL EVENT. RAINFALL TOTALS THROUGH MONDAY ARE
EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN A QUARTER AND A HALF INCH, WITH AN
ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES EXPECTED TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
HEAVIER RAINFALL TOTALS ARE POSSIBLE UNDER ANY THUNDERSTORMS THAT
DEVELOP. THE HEAVY RAINFALL ON TOP OF THE VERY SATURATED SOILS
WILL LIKELY LEAD TO URBAN FLOODING AND MAY RESULT IN MINOR
FLOODING OF AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS.

ANYONE LIVING NEAR STREAMS AND RIVERS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR
FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS THROUGH AT LEAST MID WEEK, AS THE
FLOODING THREAT INCREASES.
