HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
415 AM CDT MON SEP 30 2019

..PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY

A FRONTAL BOUNDARY IS EXPECTED TO BECOME NEARLY STATIONARY TUESDAY
INTO TUESDAY NIGHT BEFORE SLOWLY SINKING SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE DAY
WEDNESDAY. THE FRONT WILL HAVE PLENTY OF MOISTURE TO WORK WITH.
IN FACT, THE AMOUNT OF WATER AVAILABLE TO THE SYSTEM WILL BE
ROUGHLY 300 PERCENT OF NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.

RECENT RAINFALL OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS AND ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT, WILL LEAVE SOILS SATURATED AHEAD OF THE
UPCOMING HEAVY RAINFALL EVENT. RAINFALL TOTALS THROUGH TONIGHT
ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN A QUARTER AND A HALF INCH, WITH AN
ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES EXPECTED TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. HEAVIER
RAINFALL TOTALS ARE EXPECTED, ESPECIALLY WHERE THUNDERSTORMS
TRAIN ACROSS THE SAME AREA. THE MOST LIKELY LOCATIONS TO
EXPERIENCE THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL, WILL BE NEAR AND SOUTH OF
HIGHWAY 29. THE HEAVY RAINFALL ON TOP OF THE VERY SATURATED SOILS
WILL LIKELY LEAD TO URBAN FLOODING AND MAY RESULT IN MINOR
FLOODING OF AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS.

A FLOOD WATCH MAY BE NECESSARY WITH LATER UPDATES AS CONFIDENCE
INCREASES IN RAINFALL TOTALS AND PLACEMENT.

ANYONE LIVING NEAR STREAMS AND RIVERS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR
FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS THROUGH MID WEEK, AS THE FLOODING THREAT
INCREASES.
