LONG TERM

FRIDAY THROUGH NEXT WEDNESDAY
LOOK FOR DRIER AND FAIR WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT MUCH OF THE
REGION AS A WEAK RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE KEEPS WEATHER ACTIVITY
NORTH OF NEVADA. OVER THE WEEKEND A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER
IDAHO WILL WEAKEN THE RIDGE FURTHER, ALLOWING SMALL CHANCES (20%
OR LOWER) OF ISOLATED RAIN SHOWERS TO RETURN OVER NORTHERN NEVADA
MAINLY ALONG THE STATE BORDER WITH IDAHO. SHORTLY AFTER, THE
RIDGE STRENGTHENS BACK OVER THE REGION, KEEPING WEATHER ACTIVITY
FURTHER NORTH, LEAVING DRIER CONDITIONS. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
ON A WARMING TREND WITH HIGHS IN THE 40S TO 50S FRIDAY, WARMING
INTO THE 50S TO 60S BY SUNDAY AND LASTING THROUGH TUESDAY.
OVERNIGHT LOWS ALSO ON A WARMING TREND, STARTING IN THE 20S
FRIDAY, AND INTO THE 30S OVER THE WEEKEND AND INTO NEXT WEEK.
WINDS EXPECTED TO BE CALM FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AT LESS THAN 10 MPH.
BY SUNDAY, BREEZY SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS OVER NORTHERN NEVADA AT
10-15 MPH IN THE AFTERNOON. MONDAY AFTERNOON, SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS
AT 10-15 MPH ACROSS NORTHERN NEVADA AND PARTS OF CENTRAL NEVADA.
