THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

DAY ONE
TODAY AND TONIGHT

AREAS OF DENSE FOG CURRENTLY PERSIST ACROSS MOST OF THE PLAINS
EAST OF I-25, LIMITING VISIBILITY. THIS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT
LEAST LATE MORNING, IF NOT LONGER.

WIND DRIVEN SNOW WILL SET IN ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN LATER THIS
MORNING, WITH BLOWING SNOW REDUCING VISIBILITY AND RESULTING IN
HAZARDOUS TRAVEL. FOR THE EASTERN PLAINS, ISOLATED SNOW WILL
EXPAND IN COVERAGE ACROSS MOST OF THE PLAINS BY THIS EVENING AS A
COLD FRONT MOVES IN FROM THE NORTH. ADDITIONALLY, A FEW HOURS OF
FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER KIOWA AND PROWERS COUNTIES,
RESULTING IN SLICK ROADS AND DANGEROUS TRAVEL.

WHILE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD BE GENERALLY LIGHT OVER THE
PLAINS, REDUCED VISIBILITY AND SLIPPERY ROADS WILL BE POSSIBLE
INTO SUNDAY. PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING.

GUSTY WINDS AND A LOCALIZED MASS OF DRY AIR WILL ALSO RESULT IN
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS OVER THE SOUTHERN I-25 CORRIDOR
THIS AFTERNOON. WESTERLY CROSSWINDS COULD CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
TO LIGHTWEIGHT AND HIGH-PROFILE VEHICLES.

SPOTTERS: LIKELY

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

SUNDAY, THERE WILL BE SOME LIGHT SNOWFALL CHANCES OVER THE
EASTERN PLAINS. THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME BREEZY CONDITIONS, WHICH
COULD LEAD TO SOME BLOWING SNOW. PRECIPITATION CHANCES INCREASE
LATE MONDAY AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING, WITH
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES EXPECTED. SNOW SHOWERS
WILL THEN EXPAND OVER THE PLAINS STARTING MONDAY NIGHT AND WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING WITH 1 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE.
ACTIVE WEATHER LOOKS TO CONTINUE THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY.

SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL
BE LIKELY OVER PORTIONS OF THE REGION.
