METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (THU AM - WED AM)
 
 
A STRONG AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS CENTERED OVER THE FOUR  
CORNERS THIS MORNING WHILE AN UPPER LOW APPROACHES NRN CA AND THE  
PACNW. CURRENT SATELLITE AND LIGHTNING DETECTION SHOW AN AREA OF  
THUNDERSTORMS JUST EAST OF THE CA BORDER OVER AZ AS WELL. CHANCES OF  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED, MAINLY IN THE  
AFTERNOON/EVENING, OVER SE CA AND SRN NV TODAY. THE CURRENT FLOW  
REGIME SHOULD KEEP TEMPERATURES ACROSS MUCH OF NRN AND CENTRAL CA  
WITHIN A FEW DEGREES OF SEASONAL NORMALS WHILE AREAS FURTHER INLAND  
MAY SEE ANOMALIES OF UP TO +10 DEG F TODAY/TOMORROW. COOLING WILL  
SPREAD FURTHER ACROSS THE REGION TOMORROW INTO THE WEEKEND AS THE  
UPPER LOW DRAWS CLOSER TO THE COAST AND WITH ANOTHER MOVING IN FROM  
THE NW AFTERWARDS SHOULD KEEP TEMPERATURES NEAR NORMAL THROUGH THE  
REST OF THE PERIOD. MID LEVEL MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL RESULT  
CHANCES OF SHOWERS/THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH MONDAY. BEST CHANCES OVER  
SE CA AND NV IN GENERAL, THOUGH PARTS OF THE SIERRA MAY ALSO SEE A  
FEW SHOWERS/THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WEEKEND.  
 
FREEZING LEVELS FORECAST TO FLUCTUATE BETWEEN 13.5-16.5 KFT THROUGH  
THE PERIOD.
