CURRENT SURFACE MAP PLACES HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE NORTHERN  
PLAINS. A FEW HIGH CLOUDS ACROSS THE AREA WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE  
20S. MILD AND DRY CONDITIONS EXPECTED THROUGH SATURDAY WITH  
UPPER LEVEL RIDGE ACROSS THE AREA. WEAK/SHALLOW COLD FRONT  
EXPECTED TO SLIP INTO NORTHWESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA ON FRIDAY, THEN  
LIFT BACK NORTHWARD ON SATURDAY. FORECAST SOUNDINGS INDICATED SOME  
POTENTIAL FOR LOW STRATUS NORTH OF THE FRONT WHICH MAY KEEP  
TEMPERATURES A BIT COOLER THAN CURRENT FORECAST.  
 
UPPER FLOW BECOMES ZONAL SUNDAY WITH DECENT SHORTWAVE TRACKING  
ACROSS MONTANA/NORTH DAKOTA. COLD FRONT DROPS THROUGH THE AREA  
EARLY SUNDAY. 3-5MB/3HR PRESSURE RISES AND ROBUST COLD ADVECTION  
WILL RESULT IN GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS. MAY BE A BIT OF LIGHT  
SNOW/FLURRIES ACROSS THE AREA WITH LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATION. COLD  
TEMPERATURES CONTINUE THROUGH NEXT WEEK. EMBEDDED IMPULSES IN  
FLOW MAY BRING SOME CHANCES FOR LIGHT SNOW WITH ONLY MINOR
