...HEAVY RAINFALL COULD BRING FLOODING TO PARTS OF THE OHIO VALLEY
AND NORTHEAST...

...WARM TEMPERATURES EXPECTED ACROSS THE EASTERN U.S. BEFORE A
STRONG COLD FRONT SWEEPS EASTWARD...

...ACTIVE WEATHER EXPECTED FOR THE PACIFIC WEST AND NORTHERN
ROCKIES...

WARM, MOIST AIR WILL LIFT THROUGH THE EASTERN U.S. OVER THE NEXT
FEW DAYS. THIS WILL LEAD TO VERY WARM CONDITIONS--WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO BE OVER 30 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. IN
ADDITION A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE MISSISSIPPI
VALLEY AND OHIO VALLEY THIS EVENING AND INTO THE EARLY MORNING
HOURS OF FRIDAY. AS THE WARM, MOIST AIR IS IN PLACE--SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL FIRE OFF ALONG THE BOUNDARY. HEAVY RAINFALL
WILL PARTICULARLY IMPACT THE OHIO VALLEY AND MAY GIVE WAY TO A
SLIGHT CHANCE OF FLASH FLOODING OVERNIGHT. SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO PARTS OF THE MID-ATLANTIC AND
NORTHEAST BY TONIGHT. AS THE FRONT PUSHES SOUTH, LIGHTER RAINFALL
WILL INCREASE IN THE SOUTHEAST AND THE CAROLINAS. BEHIND THE COLD
FRONT, HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME SLIGHTLY BELOW
AVERAGE.

MULTIPLE UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL BRING ACTIVE WEATHER TO THE
PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND THE NORTHERN ROCKIES. AS A PACIFIC FRONT
APPROACHES THE WASHINGTON COAST ON FRIDAY MORNING, PRECIPITATION
WILL BEGIN TO INCREASE--IN THE FORM OF SHOWERS AND HIGHER
ELEVATION SNOW. THIS PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY AND
THE WEEKEND AS MULTIPLE SYSTEMS MOVE ACROSS THESE REGIONS. HEAVY
SNOW IS EXPECTED ALONG THE WASHINGTON CASCADES WHERE THERE ARE
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES IN EFFECT MOSTLY ON FRIDAY.
