THE NORTHERN ROCKIES/NORTHERN HIGH PLAINS AND OVER PARTS OF THE  
UPPER/MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY...  
 
...HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF THE MIDDLE/UPPER MISSISSIPPI  
AND OHIO VALLEYS AND PARTS OF THE MID-ATLANTIC...  
 
...RAIN/SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE CASCADES  
AND NORTHERN ROCKIES...  
 
A QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT WILL EXTEND FROM MID-ATLANTIC WESTWARD TO  
MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THROUGH MONDAY. SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG AND NEAR THE BOUNDARY FROM THE  
MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEYS EASTWARD INTO PARTS OF THE MID-ATLANTIC  
ALSO THROUGH MONDAY. IN ADDITION, AN UPPER-LEVEL LOW OVER PARTS  
OF THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WILL, LIKEWISE, REMAIN  
QUASI-STATIONARY OVER THE REGION THROUGH MONDAY AS MOISTURE FLOWS  
NORTHWARD OUT OF THE WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO. THE MOISTURE,  
DAYTIME HEATING, AND UPPER-LEVEL ENERGY WILL AID IN PRODUCING  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WESTERN/CENTRAL GULF COAST AND  
LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THROUGH MONDAY. SIMILARLY, UPPER-LEVEL  
ENERGY OVER FLORIDA AND TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL AID IN PRODUCING  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE SOUTHEAST FROM SATURDAY INTO  
MONDAY MORNING.  
 
MEANWHILE, A FRONT EXTENDING FROM NORTHERN HIGH PLAINS INTO THE  
GREAT BASIN WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE NORTHERN/CENTRAL PLAINS INTO  
THE SOUTHERN ROCKIES/SOUTHWEST BY MONDAY. RAIN WITH EMBEDDED  
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN  
ROCKIES/NORTHERN INTERMOUNTAIN REGION WILL MOVE SLIGHTLY EASTWARD  
BY SUNDAY MORNING. THE SYSTEMS ASSOCIATED UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH WILL  
MOVE EASTWARD OVER THE NORTHERN ROCKIES AS THE SNOW LEVELS LOWER,  
RAIN AND SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE  
NORTHERN ROCKIES THROUGH MONDAY, TOO. AS THE FRONT MOVES ONTO THE  
NORTHERN PLAINS, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE  
AREA LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO EVENING WITH THE SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS EXPANDING INTO PARTS OF THE UPPER/MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI  
VALLEYS OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. ADDITIONALLY, ONSHORE FLOW  
OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND PARTS OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WILL  
AID IN PRODUCING RAIN AND HIGHEST ELEVATION RAIN/SNOW OVER PARTS  
OF THE CASCADES THAT WILL BECOME MORE SCATTERED BY MONDAY.
