THE NORTHERN PLAINS AND WESTERN OHIO VALLEY...  
 
...HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF THE UPPER MIDWEST AND THE  
OHIO VALLEY INTO THE NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC...  
 
...RAIN/SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE CASCADES  
AND NORTHERN ROCKIES...  
 
A FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE MID-ATLANTIC WESTWARD TO THE NORTHERN  
PLAINS WILL BE QUASI-STATIONARY THROUGH MONDAY EVENING WHEN HIGH  
PRESSURE OVER EASTERN CANADA PUSHES SOUTHEASTWARD TO THE NORTHERN  
MID-ATLANTIC COAST BY TUESDAY. THE EASTERN HALF OF THE BOUNDARY  
WILL MOVE SOUTHWARD FROM THE MID-ATLANTIC INTO PARTS OF THE  
SOUTHEAST BY TUESDAY. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP  
ALONG AND NEAR THE FRONT FROM THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY  
EASTWARD TO THE MID-ATLANTIC THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. OVERNIGHT  
MONDAY THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE SOUTH OVER THE  
MID-ATLANTIC INTO THE SOUTHEAST BY TUESDAY MORNING. THE SHOWERS  
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY  
EASTWARD INTO THE OHIO VALLEY AND THE CENTRAL/SOUTHERN  
APPALACHIANS THROUGH TUESDAY. ADDITIONALLY, MOISTURE FROM THE  
GULF OF MEXICO AND UPPER-LEVEL IMPULSES WILL AID IN PRODUCING  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE WESTERN/CENTRAL GULF  
COAST AND FLORIDA THROUGH TUESDAY.  
 
MEANWHILE, ONSHORE FLOW WILL STREAM MOISTURE INLAND OVER THE  
PACIFIC NORTHWEST INTO PARTS OF THE NORTHERN ROCKIES/NORTHERN HIGH  
PLAINS THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING WHEN THE ONSHORE FLOW ENDS. A  
DEEP UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH WILL BE OVER THE NORTHWEST THROUGH MONDAY  
EVENING WHEN WEAK UPPER-LEVEL RIDGING BUILDS OVER THE PACIFIC  
NORTHWEST. RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER THE NORTHWEST WITH RAIN/SNOW  
OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE CASCADES THROUGH MONDAY  
EVENING. IN ADDITION, RAIN AND HIGHEST ELEVATION RAIN/SNOW WILL  
DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN INTERMOUNTAIN REGION INTO THE  
NORTHERN ROCKIES ENDING OVERNIGHT MONDAY.  
 
FURTHERMORE, A FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHERN PLAINS INTO PARTS  
OF THE GREAT BASIN WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE UPPER GREAT  
LAKES/MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY SOUTHWESTWARD INTO THE SOUTHERN  
HIGH PLAINS/SOUTHERN ROCKIES BY TUESDAY. SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE FRONT OVER PARTS OF THE  
NORTHERN PLAINS THAT WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI  
VALLEY AND EXPAND SOUTHWARD INTO THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BY  
MONDAY EVENING. OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY, THE SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE EASTWARD INTO THE UPPER GREAT LAKES AND  
INTO THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI/WESTERN OHIO VALLEYS SOUTHWESTWARD  
INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS.
