...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF
THE NORTHERN PLAINS...

...HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY
AND PARTS OF THE NORTHERN APPALACHIANS...

A QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE GREAT LAKES TO PARTS
OF THE CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS WILL SLOWLY BEGIN TO DISSIPATE ON
SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THE BOUNDARY WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE GREAT LAKES/NORTHEAST INTO THE MIDDLE
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND THE CENTRAL PLAINS THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.
IN ADDITION, TROPICAL MOISTURE EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTHERN PLAINS
TO THE SOUTHEAST ALONG WITH DAYTIME HEATING AND WEAK UPPER-LEVEL
IMPULSES WILL AID IN PRODUCING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE
SOUTHEAST WESTWARD TO PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS THROUGH SUNDAY
EVENING. OVERNIGHT SATURDAY, SOME OF THE TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL
MOVE INTO PARTS OF THE OHIO VALLEY, CENTRAL APPALACHIANS, AND
NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC. THE MOISTURE WILL AID IN PRODUCING SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE REGION ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY
EVENING.

MEANWHILE, MONSOONAL MOISTURE, DAYTIME HEATING, AND WEAK
UPPER-LEVEL IMPULSES WILL AID IN PRODUCING SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE GREAT BASIN/SOUTHWEST AND THE
CENTRAL/SOUTHERN ROCKIES THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING. THE SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL HAVE THE GREATEST AREAL COVERAGE DURING THE
LATE AFTERNOON INTO THE LATE EVENING ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
ADDITIONALLY A FRONT MOVING OUT OF SOUTHWESTERN CANADA WILL
ADVANCE EASTWARD TO THE UPPER GREAT LAKES/MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI
VALLEY AND SOUTHWARD TO THE CENTRAL PLAINS INTO THE CENTRAL
ROCKIES BY SUNDAY EVENING. THE BOUNDARY INTERSECTS MOISTURE OVER
THE NORTHERN PLAINS OVERNIGHT SATURDAY PRODUCING SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS INTO THE NORTHERN
HIGH PLAINS THAT WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE UPPER GREAT LAKES/UPPER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO PARTS OF THE NORTHERN/CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS
