..HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF THE EASTERN GULF COAST
 
 
A DISSIPATING QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT EXTENDING FROM PARTS OF THE  
NORTHEAST/LOWER GREAT LAKES SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE CENTRAL HIGH  
PLAINS WILL AID IN DEVELOPING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM PARTS  
OF THE NORTHEAST SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS. THE  
BOUNDARY DISSIPATES OVERNIGHT SUNDAY. THE MOISTURE ASSOCIATED  
WITH THE FRONT SINKS SOUTHWARD INTO THE MID-ATLANTIC TO THE OHIO  
VALLEY BY SUNDAY EVENING REMAINING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. THE  
MOISTURE AND DAYTIME HEATING WILL AID IN PRODUCING SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE SOUTHERN MID-ATLANTIC INTO THE OHIO AND  
TENNESSEE VALLEYS THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. IN  
ADDITION, TROPICAL MOISTURE EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTHERN PLAINS TO  
THE SOUTHEAST ALONG WITH DAYTIME HEATING WILL AID IN PRODUCING  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE REGION THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.  
 
MEANWHILE, A FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY  
SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE CENTRAL ROCKIES WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE  
LOWER GREAT LAKES/OHIO VALLEY THEN WESTWARD TO THE SOUTHERN HIGH  
PLAINS THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL  
DEVELOP ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE BOUNDARY FROM THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI  
VALLEY INTO THE CENTRAL ROCKIES THAT WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE  
LOWER GREAT LAKES/NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE  
SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS BY MONDAY EVENING. ADDITIONALLY, MONSOONAL  
MOISTURE AND DAYTIME HEATING WILL AID IN PRODUCING SHOWERS AND  
THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE SOUTHWEST/GREAT BASIN AND THE  
CENTRAL/SOUTHERN ROCKIES THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. THE GREATEST  
AREAL COVERAGE OF THE PRECIPITATION WILL BE DURING THE LATE  
AFTERNOON INTO THE LATE EVENING ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY. ELSEWHERE  
ON SUNDAY MORNING, UPPER-LEVEL ENERGY WILL MOVE ONSHORE OVER PARTS  
OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA MOVING INLAND TO  
THE NORTHERN INTERMOUNTAIN REGION BY MONDAY EVENING. THE ENERGY  
WILL TRIGGER SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE  
PACIFIC NORTHWEST, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, AND THE GREAT BASIN  
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.
