...HURRICANE FLORENCE IS FORECAST TO BECOME A MAJOR HURRICANE  
TODAY; RESIDENTS IN THE SOUTHEAST AND MID-ATLANTIC SHOULD CLOSELY  
MONITOR FLORENCE...  
 
...HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF THE WESTERN/CENTRAL GULF  
COAST AND PARTS OF THE NORTHEAST...  
 
LOW PRESSURE OVER THE OHIO VALLEY WILL SLOWLY MOVE NORTHEASTWARD  
TO NEW ENGLAND BY TUESDAY EVENING. RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES, WILL  
DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE LOWER GREAT LAKES/CENTRAL APPALACHIANS  
AND PARTS OF THE NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC THAT WILL MOVE  
NORTHEASTWARD INTO SOUTHEASTERN CANADA BY TUESDAY EVENING. THE  
ASSOCIATED FRONT WILL BE QUASI-STATIONARY EXTENDING FROM THE  
NORTHEAST SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE CENTRAL/WESTERN GULF COAST BY  
TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP  
ALONG AND NEAR THE BOUNDARY FROM PARTS OF THE OHIO/TENNESSEE  
VALLEYS INTO THE CENTRAL/WESTERN GULF COAST. ALONG THE EASTERN  
END OF THE FRONT, THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE EASTWARD  
TO PARTS OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND/MID-ATLANTIC COAST INTO THE  
SOUTHEAST BY TUESDAY EVENING. ALONG THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE  
FRONT, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE  
CENTRAL/WESTERN GULF COAST INTO TUESDAY EVENING/WEDNESDAY.  
ADDITIONALLY, TROPICAL MOISTURE AND DAYTIME HEATING WILL AID IN  
PRODUCING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE SOUTHEAST  
INTO THE SOUTHERN MID-ATLANTIC THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.  
 
MEANWHILE, A DISSIPATING FRONT OVER THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY  
WILL AID IN PRODUCING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE  
REGION THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. A SECOND FRONT OVER THE PACIFIC  
NORTHWEST WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE NORTHERN PLAINS/UPPER  
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND EXTEND ACROSS PARTS OF THE CENTRAL HIGH  
PLAINS INTO PARTS OF THE GREAT BASIN BY TUESDAY EVENING. THE  
BOUNDARY WILL AID IN PRODUCING RAIN OVER PARTS OF THE PACIFIC  
NORTHWEST THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. AS THE BOUNDARY MOVES INTO THE  
NORTHERN PLAINS OVERNIGHT MONDAY, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL  
DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS THAT WILL MOVE EASTWARD  
INTO PARTS OF THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS BY  
TUESDAY EVENING. ONSHORE FLOW OVER PARTS OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST  
WILL AID IN PRODUCING RAIN OVER PARTS OF THE AREA MONDAY EVENING  
INTO TUESDAY EVENING. ELSEWHERE, CHECK THE LATEST ADVISORY FROM  
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER FOR THE LATEST ON FLORENCE'S TRACK  
AND INTENSITY.
