...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF  
THE NORTHEAST...  
 
...HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS AND  
THE LOWER RIO GRANDE VALLEY...  
 
...TEMPERATURES WILL BE 10 TO 15 DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE OVER PARTS  
OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS...  
 
A FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHEAST SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE WESTERN  
GULF COAST WILL MOVE OFF THE NORTHEAST/NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC COAST  
BY THURSDAY MORNING WHILE THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE BOUNDARY WILL  
BE QUASI-STATIONARY FROM THE SOUTHERN MID-ATLANTIC SOUTHWESTWARD  
TO THE WESTERN GULF COAST THROUGH FRIDAY. RAIN WITH EMBEDDED  
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE FRONT  
FROM THE NORTHEAST TO THE NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC THAT WILL MOVE OFF  
THE NORTHEAST/NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC COAST BY THURSDAY MORNING.  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO DEVELOP ALONG THE SOUTHERN  
PART OF THE BOUNDARY FROM THE SOUTHERN MID-ATLANTIC ACROSS THE  
SOUTHERN MID-ATLANTIC TO THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AND ACROSS PARTS OF  
THE CENTRAL/WESTERN GULF COAST THAT WILL BE LIMITED TO THE  
IMMEDIATE CENTRAL/WESTERN GULF COAST BY FRIDAY. IN ADDITION,  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN  
MID-ATLANTIC/SOUTHEAST THROUGH FRIDAY, TOO.  
 
MEANWHILE, A SECOND FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHERN PLAINS INTO  
WEST-CENTRAL CANADA WILL MOVE SOUTHEASTWARD TO THE GREAT  
LAKES/WESTERN OHIO VALLEY INTO PARTS OF THE CENTRAL PLAINS THEN  
ROUGHLY BANKED UP AGAINST THE ROCKIES BY FRIDAY. RAIN WILL  
DEVELOP NEAR THE BOUNDARY OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS THAT WILL MOVE  
EASTWARD INTO THE GREAT LAKES INTO THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY  
WESTWARD TO THE CENTRAL PLAINS INTO THE NORTHERN ROCKIES BY  
FRIDAY, TOO.
