NORTHERN ROCKIES INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST...  
 
...SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE NORTHERN  
ROCKIES...  
 
A QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT EXTENDING FROM PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN  
MID-ATLANTIC ROUGHLY SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE WESTERN GULF COAST WILL  
BEGIN TO DISSIPATE BY SUNDAY. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL  
DEVELOP ALONG AND NEAR THE BOUNDARY FROM THE SOUTHERN  
MID-ATLANTIC/SOUTHEAST TO THE CENTRAL/WESTERN GULF COAST THROUGH  
SUNDAY. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL HAVE THE GREATEST  
AREAL COVERAGE DURING THE AFTERNOON INTO THE LATE EVENING.  
 
MEANWHILE, A SECOND FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE LOWER GREAT  
LAKES/OHIO VALLEY SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS WILL  
MOVE EASTWARD OFF THE NORTHEAST COAST BY SATURDAY EVENING, WHILE  
THE FRONT DISSIPATES OVER THE SOUTHERN OHIO/TENNESSEE VALLEYS  
SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO EVENING. RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF  
THE GREAT LAKES INTO PARTS OF THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THAT  
WILL LIFT NORTHEASTWARD INTO CANADA BY SATURDAY EVENING. A SECOND  
AREA OF RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS BY  
SATURDAY MORNING THAT WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE GREAT LAKES BY  
SUNDAY MORNING.  
 
A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE TEXAS PANHANDLE, ON SATURDAY  
MORNING, WILL LIFT NORTHWARD INTO THE CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS ON  
SATURDAY EVENING INTO SUNDAY. AN ASSOCIATED WARM FRONT WILL ALSO  
LIFT NORTHWARD FROM THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/SOUTHERN PLAINS  
INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS TO THE WESTERN OHIO VALLEY BY SUNDAY.  
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE WARM FRONT OVER  
PARTS OF THE CENTRAL/SOUTHERN PLAINS OVERNIGHT FRIDAY THAT WILL  
MOVE NORTHWARD INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS/MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY  
BY SUNDAY. ADDITIONALLY, THE WESTERN END OF THE FRONT WILL BE  
BANKED ALONG THE ROCKIES THROUGH SUNDAY. RAIN AND HIGHEST  
ELEVATION SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN  
ROCKIES/NORTHERN HIGH PLAINS BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE RAIN AND  
HIGHEST ELEVATION SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVER THE NORTHERN ROCKIES  
THROUGH SUNDAY. THE RAIN WILL MOVE INTO PARTS OF THE NORTHERN  
PLAINS BY SUNDAY. FURTHERMORE, UPPER-LEVEL ENERGY OFF THE CENTRAL  
CALIFORNIA COAST WILL SLOWLY MOVE INLAND OVER THE PACIFIC  
NORTHWEST BY SUNDAY. RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF NORTHERN  
CALIFORNIA/PACIFIC NORTHWEST BY SATURDAY EVENING CONTINUING INTO  
SUNDAY.
