A STRONG STORM OVER THE QUEBEC/ONTARIO BORDER MOVE NORTHEASTWARD  
AND SLOWLY WEAKEN. THE PRESSURE WILL BE VERY DEEP WITH THIS STORM  
AND THE ASSOCIATED PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL BE VERY STRONG PRODUCING  
HIGH WIND OVER THE GREAT LAKES INTO THE NORTHEAST. THE WIND WILL  
CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY AS THE HIGH WIND ENDS WEST TO EAST. THE  
SYSTEM WILL ALSO PRODUCE SNOW OVER THE PARTS OF THE UPPER  
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY/GREAT LAKES INTO PARTS OF THE OHIO VALLEY. THE  
STRONG WIND WILL CAUSE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS OVER THE UPPER  
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO THE UPPER GREAT LAKES THROUGH MONDAY  
MORNING. RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF NEW ENGLAND INTO PARTS  
OF THE NORTHERN MID-ATLANTIC THAT WILL END OVERNIGHT SUNDAY. AS  
THE RAIN MOVES OUT, SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER THE LOWER GREAT LAKES  
INTO NEW ENGLAND THAT WILL SLOWLY TAPER OFF TO LAKE EFFECT SNOW BY  
MONDAY EVENING.  
 
MEANWHILE, AN UPPER-LEVEL LOW OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WILL  
CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY. A PLUME OF MOISTURE FROM THE NORTH  
PACIFIC WILL STREAM ONSHORE OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND OREGON  
THROUGH MONDAY. THE MOISTURE AND ENERGY WILL AID IN PRODUCING  
COASTAL RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST  
AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL AND GREATEST  
POTENTIAL OF FLOODING EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHWEST OREGON AND LOWER  
ELEVATIONS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. OVERNIGHT MONDAY,  
THE MOISTURE AXIS WILL MOVE FARTHER SOUTH INTO CENTRAL CALIFORNIA  
AS THE RAIN AND SNOW TAPERS OFF OVER OREGON. RAIN AND HIGHER  
ELEVATION SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA ON  
TUESDAY. SNOW WILL ALSO DEVELOP OVER THE NORTHERN INTERMOUNTAIN  
REGION AND THE NORTHERN ROCKIES THAT WILL EXPAND INTO PARTS OF THE  
NORTHERN/CENTRAL PLAINS OVERNIGHT SUNDAY. THE SNOW WILL EXPAND  
INTO PARTS OF THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO  
TUESDAY. ELSEWHERE, MOISTURE WILL BEGIN TO FLOW NORTHWARD FROM  
THE WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO ON MONDAY. OVERNIGHT MONDAY, RAIN WITH  
EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE WESTERN GULF COAST  
THAT WILL EXPAND INTO PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AND THE LOWER  
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY ON TUESDAY.
