A LINGERING FRONTAL BOUNDARY, THAT WILL DRIFT INTO THE CARIBBEAN,
WILL BRING DAILY CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR
FLORIDA. LIGHT RAIN/SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM PORTIONS OF
THE OHIO VALLEY TO THE MID-ATLANTIC THROUGH MONDAY AS A WEAK LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM PASSES THROUGH THE REGION. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE
WILL KEEP MOST OF THE CONTIGUOUS U.S. WITH COOL AND CALM
CONDITIONS. TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO BE JUST NEAR OR BELOW
NORMAL EAST OF THE FRONT RANGE WITH PORTIONS OF THE APPALACHIAN
REGION 10-20 DEGREES COOLER THAN THOSE TYPICAL FOR MID-MARCH.

ALLOWING SNOW MELT TO CAUSE RUN OFF- LOW-LYING AREAS MAY
EXPERIENCE AREAL FLOODING. MAJOR TO HISTORIC RIVER FLOODING IS
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ACROSS PARTS OF THE MISSOURI AND MISSISSIPPI
RIVER BASINS WHERE HEAVY RAINFALL LAST WEEK RESULTED IN RAPID SNOW
MELT. FLOOD WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR SOME
LOCATIONS. WARMER THAN AVERAGE TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE NORTHWEST
AND NORTHERN ROCKIES MAY ALSO LEAD TO ACCELERATED SNOW MELT FOR
LOWER ELEVATIONS AND POTENTIAL FLOODING ISSUES.
