...LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DELIVER PRECIPITATION TO THE WEST,
CENTRAL PLAINS, AND UPPER MIDWEST AS IT PUSHES EAST THROUGH
FRIDAY...

...TRANQUIL WEATHER PATTERN OVER THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN U.S.
WITH A GRADUAL WARM-UP AND LIMITED PRECIPITATION...

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL PUSH THROUGH THE WEST AND EMERGE INTO
THE PLAINS BY LATE THURSDAY. THIS WILL LEAD TO ACCUMULATING SNOW
IN THE SIERRA NEVADA AND NORTHERN AND CENTRAL ROCKIES, MAINLY
ABOVE 6000 FEET. RAIN IS EXPECTED IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF THE
WEST, ALTHOUGH THE DESERT SOUTHWEST SHOULD REMAIN DRY THIS WEEK.
RAIN WILL ALSO FALL OUT INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS AND UPPER MIDWEST.
THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN THE PLAINS, WITH SOME
ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE IN PARTS OF KANSAS AND
OKLAHOMA. AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN ARE EXPECTED TO THE NORTH OF THAT,
IN THE LOWER PORTION OF THE MISSOURI RIVER VALLEY. THIS MAY
CONTRIBUTE TO ONGOING FLOODING ISSUES, WITH LOCALIZED FLASH
FLOODING POSSIBLE.

OVER THE SOUTHERN U.S. AND THE EAST COAST, AN EXPANSIVE AREA OF
HIGH PRESSURE SHOULD MAINTAIN A RELATIVELY TRANQUIL WEATHER
PATTERN OVER THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS. AREAS OF PRECIPITATION SHOULD
BE LIMITED, OTHER THAN SOME LIGHT SHOWERS IN THE INTERIOR
NORTHEAST, AND TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY WARM UP
THROUGH THE END OF THE WORK WEEK.
