...COASTAL STORM OFF THE ATLANTIC COAST TO BRING RAIN AND GUSTY
WINDS TO COASTAL LOCATIONS, WITH HURRICANE FORCE WINDS LIKELY OVER
THE OPEN WATERS...

...PRECIPITATION SPREADS FROM THE WEST INTO THE PLAINS STATES ON
WEDNESDAY...

...SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE FROM PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS ON
WEDNESDAY TO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY ON THURSDAY...

A RAPIDLY DEEPENING SURFACE LOW OFF THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST WILL
CONTINUE TO BRING RAIN TO AREAS ALONG THE NORTHEAST COAST INTO
TOMORROW, THOUGH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL SHOULD REMAIN OFFSHORE.
LATE SEASON ACCUMULATING SNOW IS ALSO POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF
INTERIOR NEW ENGLAND, WITH GUSTY WINDS LIKELY ALONG THE COAST AND
HURRICANE FORCE WINDS POSSIBLE OVER THE OPEN WATER CLOSER TO THE
LOW CENTER.

A SYSTEM MOVING INTO THE WESTERN U.S. THIS AFTERNOON WILL ALLOW
RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW TO CONTINUE INTO TOMORROW, WITH SOME
MODERATE ACCUMULATING SNOWS LIKELY IN THE HIGHEST TERRAIN. AS THIS
SYSTEM EJECTS OUT OF THE ROCKIES ON WEDNESDAY, RAIN SHOWERS WILL
BEGIN TO DEVELOP ACROSS PARTS OF THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PLAINS,
AND ALTHOUGH RAINFALL IS NOT EXPECTED TO BE ESPECIALLY HEAVY, ANY
AMOUNT OF RAIN MAY ONLY EXACERBATE ONGOING FLOODING ACROSS THAT
REGION. FARTHER SOUTH INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AND LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY, RAINFALL MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES, WITH STRONG TO
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE. SPC HAS HIGHLIGHTED PARTS OF
WESTERN OKLAHOMA WITHIN A SLIGHT RISK ON WEDNESDAY, AND THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY ON THURSDAY.

ELSEWHERE, CONDITIONS SHOULD BE RELATIVELY QUIET DURING THE SHORT
RANGE. A COLD FRONT DROPPING THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES REGION MAY
BRING SOME LIGHT RAIN OR SNOW SHOWERS TO LOCATIONS ACROSS THE
GREAT LAKES AND MIDWEST ON THURSDAY. OUT WEST, ANOTHER SYSTEM
APPROACHING THE COAST MAY BRING A SECOND ROUND OF RAIN AND HIGHER
ELEVATION SNOWS TO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
BY THURSDAY.
