MIDWEST...  
   
..LIGHT RAIN OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHWEST COAST  
 
ON THURSDAY, LOW PRESSURE OVER THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI/OHIO VALLEYS  
WILL MOVE EASTWARD TO THE MID-ATLANTIC BEFORE MOVING OFF THE EAST  
COAST OVERNIGHT FRIDAY. THE SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE LIGHT TO MODERATE  
SNOW, WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER PARTS OF THE GREAT  
LAKES/OHIO VALLEY REGION THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. ADDITIONALLY,  
A NORTHEAST WIND WILL CREATE MODERATE TO HEAVY LAKE-ENHANCED SNOW  
OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHEASTERN COAST OF THE LOWER PENINSULA OF  
MICHIGAN OVERNIGHT THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY. THE STORM HAS PROMPTED  
WINTER WEATHER WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES OVER PARTS OF THE UPPER  
MIDWEST.  
 
OVERNIGHT THURSDAY, LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS  
OF THE NORTHEAST, EXTENDING INTO SATURDAY. BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON,  
LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS,  
BECOMING LIGHT TO MODERATE OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY. IN THE  
WAKE OF THE STORM, TEMPERATURES WILL BE 10 TO 15 DEGREES BELOW  
AVERAGE FROM THE GREAT LAKES AND MIDDLE/LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY  
EASTWARD TO THE COAST. MOREOVER, UPPER-LEVEL ENERGY WILL PRODUCE  
LIGHT SNOW OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS/UPPER MISSISSIPPI  
VALLEY FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY. FURTHERMORE, ON  
THURSDAY, LOW PRESSURE NEAR THE SOUTHERN MID-ATLANTIC COAST WILL  
PRODUCE LIGHT RAIN OVER PARTS OF THE REGION THROUGH SATURDAY  
NIGHT. ALSO, LIGHT RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHERN  
MID-ATLANTIC COAST ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON, CHANGING OVER TO SNOW OVER  
THE NEW JERSEY COAST BY SATURDAY MORNING.  
 
MEANWHILE, MULTIPLE FRONTS OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC WILL MOVE  
CLOSE TO THE WEST COAST AND DISSIPATE, BRINGING A FEW ROUNDS OF  
MOISTURE INTO THE COAST. LIGHT RAIN WILL DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE  
NORTHWEST COAST OVERNIGHT THURSDAY, ENDING BY FRIDAY MORNING.  
HOWEVER, A SECOND ROUND OF MOISTURE WILL CREATE LIGHT RAIN OVER  
PARTS OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. ON  
SATURDAY, A STRONGER PLUM OF MOISTURE WILL PRODUCE LIGHT RAIN OVER  
PARTS OF NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN/CENTRAL CALIFORNIA, WITH SNOW AT  
THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS.
