AT 800 PM CST...AN ALBERTA CLIPPER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WAS QUICKLY  
MOVING ACROSS THE UPPER MIDWEST AND INTO THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES.  
THE LOW PRESSURE CENTER WAS LOCATED OVER NORTHEASTERN IOWA WITH A  
MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE OF 1014 MB (29.94 IN HG). THE STRONG  
PRESSURE GRADIENT AROUND THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WAS PRODUCING  
STRONG WINDS ACROSS THE UPPER MIDWEST, WITH GUSTS UP TO 30-50 MPH.  
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED MODERATE TO HEAVY  
SNOW WAS FALLING OVER PORTIONS OF THE UPPER MIDWEST AND SOUTHERN  
GREAT LAKES.

THE CLIPPER SYSTEM WILL RAPIDLY MOVE FROM THE UPPER MIDWEST ACROSS  
THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY. MODERATE TO HEAVY  
SNOWFALL AND GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ACROSS THE  
REGION WITH SNOWFALL RATES REACHING 1-2 INCHES PER HOUR AT TIMES.  
THE STORM SYSTEM WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN INTO AN OPEN WAVE BY FRIDAY  
AFTERNOON AS IT APPROACHES THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS. THIS WILL  
EFFECTIVELY END THE PERIOD OF SNOWFALL RELATED TO THIS CLIPPER IN  
THE GREAT LAKES BY FRIDAY EVENING.
