MICHIGAN, NORTHEASTERN OHIO, NORTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA, AND  
WESTERN NEW YORK AND FOR THE HIGHER TERRAIN IN WEST VIRGINIA,  
VIRGINIA, KENTUCKY, TENNESSEE, AND NORTH CAROLINA.

AT 800 AM CST...THE ALBERTA CLIPPER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WAS  
TRACKING JUST SOUTH OF THE GREAT LAKES. THE LOW PRESSURE CENTER  
WAS LOCATED OVER NORTHERN INDIANA WITH A MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE  
OF 1013 MB (29.91 IN HG). THE PRESSURE GRADIENT SURROUNDING THE  
SYSTEM WEAKENED OVERNIGHT, LEADING TO A DECREASE IN WIND SPEEDS,  
AND WIND GUSTS WERE GENERALLY IN THE RANGE OF 25 TO 35 MPH FRIDAY  
MORNING. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SNOW  
CONTINUING ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES REGION AND SPREADING INTO THE  
CENTRAL APPALACHIANS. SNOW RATES WERE LIGHT TO MODERATE FOR MOST  
AREAS WITH SOME LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW RATES IN AREAS WITH LAKE-EFFECT  
ENHANCEMENT.

TODAY WHILE WEAKENING, AND THE ENERGY FROM THE LOW WILL BE  
ABSORBED BY A LOW OFFSHORE IN THE ATLANTIC TONIGHT OR SATURDAY  
MORNING. LINGERING SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TONIGHT FOR THE GREAT  
LAKES, AND SNOW WILL CONTINUE FOR PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL  
APPALACHIANS THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON,  
FOCUS WILL SHIFT TO THE STRENGTHENING OFFSHORE LOW THAT WILL  
LIKELY BRING WINTRY PRECIPITATION TO NEW ENGLAND.
