VALID 00Z THU DEC 07 2023 - 00Z THU DEC 14 2023

HIGH PRESSURE WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST TODAY AS A LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM TRACKS EAST ACROSS THE NORTH PACIFIC BETWEEN 35-40 DEGREES
NORTH. GUSTY TRADE WINDS WILL PERSIST TODAY, THEN BECOME LIGHT ON
THURSDAY AS THE HIGH MOVES FURTHER AWAY. A COLD FRONT TRAILING
FROM THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL APPROACH FROM THE NORTHWEST ON
THURSDAY, BUT WEAKEN SIGNIFICANTLY WHEN IT GETS CLOSE TO THE
STATE. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND VEER SOUTHEASTERLY AHEAD OF THE
FRONT, WHICH WILL INCREASE MOISTURE. THE FRONT WILL STALL NEAR THE
WESTERN END OF THE STATE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, INCREASING
PRECIPITATION CHANCES FOR THE NORTHWESTERN ISLANDS. THE FRONT WILL
DISSIPATE EARLY NEXT WEEK, AND ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH
FROM THE NORTHWEST BY MID-NEXT WEEK.
