TRADES ARE EXPECTED TO BE AROUND MODERATE LEVELS MONDAY, WITH SOME
SHOWERS POSSIBLE FOR THE BIG ISLAND TO MAUI WHILE RIDGING ALOFT
SUPPRESSES MOST SHOWER ACTIVITY FOR THE NORTHWESTERN ISLANDS. BY
TUESDAY, A COLD FRONT SUPPORTED BY TROUGHING ALOFT WILL APPROACH
THE STATE, WITH MOISTURE POOLING AHEAD OF IT PRODUCING SOME
ENHANCED RAIN CHANCES. WINDS START TO BACK A BIT TO A MORE
NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION AND STRENGTHEN INTO MIDWEEK, AND MODELS
GENERALLY AGREE ON A WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY FRONTAL PASSAGE AS AN
ANOMALOUSLY DEEP TROUGH PUSHES IT ACROSS THE STATE FROM NORTHWEST
TO SOUTHEAST. DRIER DEWPOINTS ARE FORECAST BEHIND THE FRONT FOR
LATE WEEK, ALONG WITH STRONG NORTHEASTERLY WINDS ON THURSDAY
BEFORE GRADUALLY DECREASING IN MAGNITUDE. MORE TYPICAL WEATHER
WITH WINDWARD AND MAUKA SHOWERS IS EXPECTED INTO THE WEEKEND.
