MODELS AND ENSEMBLES GENERALLY AGREE THAT POST-FRONTAL TRADE WINDS
WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE THIS WEEKEND (THOUGH REMAINING BREEZY) AND
VEER TO A MORE EASTERLY DIRECTION. GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS ARE
LIKELY GIVEN THE BELOW NORMAL MOISTURE IN PLACE, BUT EXPECT SOME
WINDWARD TERRAIN BASED SHOWERS. MOISTURE WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE
NEXT WEEK WHILE EASTERLY TRADES CONTINUE AND RESTRENGTHEN AS
POTENT SURFACE HIGHS BRIDGE TO THE NORTH OF THE STATE. THIS COULD
LEAD TO WINDWARD/MAUKA SHOWERS BECOMING MORE WIDESPREAD BY
MID-LATER NEXT WEEK WHEN GUIDANCE SHOWS PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES
REVERTING TO ABOVE NORMAL LEVELS UNDER GENERAL INFLUENCE OF A MEAN
UPPER TROUGH POSITION.
