MODELS AND ENSEMBLES CONTINUE TO ADVERTISE A RELATIVELY BENIGN
WEATHER PATTERN ACROSS HAWAII FOR ABOUT THE NEXT WEEK. SOME LIGHT
PRECIPITATION FAVORING TYPICAL WINDWARD SLOPES WILL BE POSSIBLE
ASSOCIATED WITH A COUPLE OF WEAK COLD FRONTS NEAR OR NORTH OF THE
STATE. TRADES COULD ALSO BE BRIEFLY DISRUPTED BY THESE FRONTAL
PROGRESSIONS. BY EARLY TO MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK, STRONG HIGH
PRESSURE LOOKS TO BUILD NORTH OF HAWAII BRINGING IN MORE MODERATE
TO BRISK TRADES. AT LEAST ON A RELATIVE BASIS, RAINFALL MAY ALSO
INCREASE SOMEWHAT OVER THE EASTERN ISLANDS NEXT WEEK AIDED BY
INCREASED MOISTURE FROM POSSIBLE SHORTWAVE ENERGY SEPARATION FROM
THE WESTERLIES AND ALIGNING NEAR THE BIG ISLAND. THIS MAY
ULTIMATELY LEAD INTO A SOMEWHAT WETTER PATTERN BY LATE NEXT WEEK
AS GUIDANCE CONTINUES TO SHOW SOME SUPPORT FOR AN UPPER TROUGH
WEST OF THE STATE BUT WITH STILL A LOT OF UNCERTAINTY IN THE
DETERMINISTIC GUIDANCE WITH THIS FEATURE.
