A WELL-DEFINED FRONT WILL CROSS THE STATE TODAY/FRIDAY WITH SOME
ASSOCIATED PRECIPITATION, BUT CONDITIONS SHOULD DRY OUT OVER THE
WEEKEND. TRAILING HIGH PRESSURE WILL SUPPORT A PERIOD OF STRONG
WINDS, FIRST FROM THE NORTH ON FRIDAY AND THEN TRENDING TOWARD
EASTERLY FROM SUNDAY ONWARD. PERSISTENCE OF THE HIGH PRESSURE
NORTHEAST OF THE STATE WILL LIKELY MAINTAIN BRISK TRADES FROM THE
EAST OR EAST-SOUTHEAST THROUGH THURSDAY, WITH WIND SPEEDS POSSIBLY
NUDGING A TAD LOWER LATER IN THE WEEK. HIGH SURF FOR NORTH AND
WEST FACING SHORES ARE LIKELY THROUGH AT LEAST THE WEEKEND. WEAK
ENERGY FILTERING THROUGH AN OVERALL MEAN UPPER RIDGE NEAR/OVER THE
STATE, AND CONSIDERING A DRIER AIRMASS, SHOULD GENERALLY KEEP
WINDWARD FOCUSED SHOWERS IN THE LIGHTER HALF OF THE SPECTRUM FOR
ABOUT THE NEXT WEEK. OVERALL, THE LATEST MODEL AND ENSEMBLE
GUIDANCE SHOWS EXCELLENT AGREEMENT ON THIS PATTERN WITH SOME
VARIABILITY IN SOME OF THE SMALLER SCALE DETAILS.
