THE SUBTROPICAL HIGH THAT WILL INITIALLY TO THE NORTH OF THE STATE  
AROUND 30-35N WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST BY THIS WEEKEND.  
EAST-NORTHEASTERLY TRADE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO VEER MORE TO THE  
EAST OR EAST-SOUTHEAST AS THE HIGH RETREATS AND A COL DEVELOPS  
WITHIN THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE AXIS. THE ENSEMBLE GUIDANCE HAS  
TRENDED STRONGER WITH AN INVERTED TROUGH AND POTENTIAL CLOSED LOW  
IN THE VICINITY OF THE FAR NORTHWESTERN ISLANDS BY MONDAY.  
 
THIS PATTERN WILL FAVOR PRECIPITATION CHANCES EACH DAY FOR THE  
FAVORED EAST-FACING TERRAIN, AND CONDITIONS WILL REMAIN MAINLY DRY  
FOR SOUTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF THE ISLANDS. THE AFOREMENTIONED  
TROUGH OVER THE FAR NORTHWESTERN ISLANDS AND ITS ACCOMPANYING  
SURFACE FRONT WILL LIKELY BE BLOCKED BY THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE AND  
REMAIN NORTHWEST OF THE STATE, KEEPING THE MOST IMPACTFUL WEATHER  
WELL OFFSHORE THROUGH AT LEAST THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
