HAWAII EXTENDED FORECAST DISCUSSION
NWS WEATHER PREDICTION CENTER COLLEGE PARK MD
349 AM EDT TUE JUN 04 2024

VALID 00Z WED JUN 05 2024 - 00Z WED JUN 12 2024

AN ELONGATED SURFACE HIGH NORTH OF HAWAII MAY MAINTAIN BREEZY
TRADES FOR TUESDAY, BUT AS THE HIGH SPLITS TO FORM RELATIVE
SURFACE TROUGHING NORTH OF THE STATE, TRADES SHOULD BE AROUND
MODERATE LEVELS WEDNESDAY BEFORE GIVING WAY TO A LAND/SEA BREEZE
PATTERN THURSDAY-FRIDAY. MEANWHILE, THE LOWERING INVERSION ALOFT
WILL NOT ALLOW FOR MUCH SHOWER DEVELOPMENT, NOR WILL THE RISING
MID-UPPER HEIGHTS AS THE PATTERN ALOFT FLIPS TO RIDGING AS THE
WEEK PROGRESSES. SO A DRY PATTERN IS LIKELY FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL
DAYS. TRADES LOOK TO GRADUALLY INCREASE A BIT INTO THE WEEKEND AND
EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH PERHAPS A SLIGHT INCREASE IN MOISTURE.
