LATEST MODEL GUIDANCE IS VERY AGREEABLE THAT AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE
AND MEAN SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE SHOULD PREVAIL FOR MUCH OF THE NEXT
WEEK OVER/NORTH OF HAWAII. THIS WILL MAINTAIN BRISK TO STRONG
EASTERLY TRADE WINDS, WITH GRADUALLY INCREASING SPEEDS THROUGH THE
WEEK AND LASTING INTO NEXT WEEKEND AS STRONG HIGH PRESSURE SETTLES
NORTHEAST OF THE STATE. SHOWERS SHOULD FOCUS PRIMARILY OVER
WINDWARD/MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS, WITH INCREASING MOISTURE LEADING TO
SOME HEAVIER SHOWERS ALONG EASTERN SLOPES OF THE SOUTHERNMOST
ISLANDS LATER IN THE WEEK/NEXT WEEKEND. AN UPPER LOW WELL NORTH OF
HAWAII LOOKS TO PUSH UPPER RIDING EASTWARD IN ABOUT A WEEKS TIME,
ALLOWING FOR WEAKER TRADES BY EARLY NEXT WEEK.
